The number of dining options that Singapore has to offer, even to vegetarians, is astounding! I spent six and a half days there and still couldn't even cover half my list despite eating more than the normal three meals a day lol! To top it off, Singapore, being such a global destination, has many popular restaurant chains from places like Paris, Tokyo, and Naples, to name a few, that were also present here! Safe to say I had a brilliant time eating my way through Singapore! Here is a list of every delicious vegetarian food I ate in Singapore. Disclaimer: Please be notified that when I say vegetarian, I mean lacto + ovo (dairy items and eggs included). Although I tried my best to ensure the food I was eating was vegetarian, when you visit Singapore, please recheck and reconfirm for yourself thoroughly that the food you are eating is in fact vegetarian, as recipes, ingredients, etc., tend to change. For example, when it comes to desserts and cheese, one can never be 100% sure, so please check thoroughly. In this blog post, I will be covering all the savoury items I tried. I will make another post about the sweet items and all the non alcoholic drinks and convenience store snacks I tried in Singapore.
1. Din Tai Fung

Known globally for its precision and craft, Din Tai Fung proved that its vegetarian options are far from an afterthought. The vegetarian fried rice was impeccably fragrant with perfectly separated grains, while the delicate vegetarian dumplings and buns held a surprisingly savory, rich filling.

Paired with their signature special sauce noodles - slippery, comforting, and coated in an addictive savory glaze, this meal was a masterclass in Taiwanese comfort food made vegetarian.
2. Shake Shack

Fast food done right, Shake Shack delivers a surprisingly satisfying feast for vegetarian diners. Their mushroom burger, starring a crispy, cheese-stuffed Portobello mushroom patty, packed a massive punch of flavor and decadence. Paired with a side of golden fries, crispy onion rings, and a thick, creamy milkshake, it was the ultimate classic American comfort meal done completely meat-free.

I also tried their delicious Veggie Shack Burger on my next visit to this chain at Jewel Changi. The burger patty was packed with mushrooms, sweet potatoes, carrots, farro, and quinoa, topped with American cheese, crispy onions, pickles, and ShackSauce, oh my god, it was YUM!
3. L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele

Bringing a slice of Naples to the heart of Singapore, this legendary pizzeria relies on simple, high-quality ingredients to do the heavy lifting. Their classic Margherita pizza was absolute perfection, boasting a chewy, beautifully charred wood-fired crust, rich San Marzano tomato sauce, melted mozzarella, and fresh basil. It’s living proof that when ingredients are this good, simplicity is king. The best thing was that there were hardly any lines to get into the restaurant, and the flavour of the pizza was just as good as it was in Naples, which I had visited three months prior. This restaurant is highly famous in Naples, so if you get a chance to try it in Singapore, then do not miss out.
4. Lian Xin Vegetarian Food Court (Buddha Tooth Relic Temple)

Tucked away in the basement of the iconic Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in Chinatown lies Lian Xin, a true hidden gem for vegetarian foodies. Tasted surrounded by serene temple vibes, their flaky, savory puffs and pillowy soft steam buns were incredibly comforting and packed with traditional flavor. Paired with a fresh, ice-cold orange juice, it’s easily one of the most authentic and tranquil dining experiences in Singapore.
5. D’Life (Orchard Gateway)

Specializing in plant-based Asian fusion, D’Life delivers all the traditional flavors of Southeast Asia without missing a beat. Their Signature Nasi Lemak was a triumph: fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk, paired with vibrant sambal, crispy plant-based sides, and rich accompaniments that captured every bit of the traditional Dish’s fiery, aromatic magic. I asked for it without the egg halves.
6. Violet Oon (ION Orchard)

For an elevated taste of Singapore’s unique Peranakan heritage, Violet Oon offers a stunning setting and an unforgettable menu. Their vegetarian Nyonya dishes showcase a complex tapestry of spices, herbs, and coconut, delivering deep, layered flavors that prove traditional Heritage food can be brilliantly adapted for vegetarian palates without losing an ounce of soul.
7. BreadTalk

A staple across Singapore, BreadTalk is the go-to spot for quick, delicious bakery grabs. Sampling a mix of their soft, savory, and sweet breads alongside a rich and creamy milk tea made for the quintessential local tea-time experience, simple, comforting, and irresistibly fresh.
8. Starbucks

Sometimes you just need a quick, reliable bite between sightseeing, and Starbucks in Singapore delivers. A warm, chewy bagel with cream cheese paired with a rich, savory vegetarian quiche proved to be the ideal fuel stop, hearty, familiar, and perfectly paired with an iced coffee.
9. Two Men Bagel House

If you’re serious about breakfast, Two Men Bagel House is a non-negotiable stop. Famous for their hand-rolled, dense, and perfectly chewy bagels, ordering an everything bagel slathered with their rich, savory scallion cream cheese was pure perfection. It’s bold, satisfying, and easily one of the best morning bites in the city.
10. Ippudo

Ramen lovers don’t have to miss out at Ippudo, where plant-based diners get star treatment. Trying both of their vegan-friendly ramen was a highlight: rich, velvety plant-based broths that captured the deep, savory umami of a traditional tonkatsu, paired with springy noodles and thoughtful, flavorful toppings.
11. MOS Burger

This beloved Japanese fast-food chain offers a fun twist on quick bites with their vegetarian potato patty burger. Tucked inside a soft bun with a tangy, absolutely fantastic-tasting sauce, the crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside potato patty was a delightfully light yet satisfying snack. This burger was so delicious, I still get dreams about it!
12. Tous Les Jours

This French-Asian bakery chain is a paradise for pastry lovers. Picking up an assortment of their breads, ranging from soft, fluffy cheese rolls to subtly sweet baked treats, offered a delightful mix of textures and baked goodness that made for perfect on-the-go snacking. They are most famous for their tissue bread, so one can give that a try as well.
13. Wewa

For a fast, fresh, and flavor-packed Mediterranean fix, Wewa delivers. Their falafel in a pita sandwich was stuffed to the brim with golden, crispy-on-the-outside falafel balls, fresh, crunchy veggies, and a tangy, creamy sauce wrapped in warm, pillowy pita bread. It was bright, hearty, and intensely satisfying. This falafel sandwich was just so winderful even though it was designed as a fast food chain, but the food tasted so authentic.
14. The Coconut Club

Even on a cozy night in, Singapore’s famous Grab food delivery brought fine dining right to the door. Ordering from The Coconut Club, the star was their vegetarian rendang, featuring deeply spiced, slow-simmered plant-based proteins served alongside their world-famous, intensely fragrant coconut rice. It was rich, aromatic, and pure luxury in a box.

What I loved about the Grab app is that even sitting at a hotel, I could order food as a tourist from so many different restaurants at a time, as you can see from my photo, I had a great time ordering from 3 different restaurants on one night! This is not a promotion; I genuinely enjoyed using the Grab app.
15. Qi - House of Sichuan

For those who love a spicy kick, Qi serves up fiery, flavor-packed Michelin-rated Sichuan cuisine. Their vegetarian Dan Dan noodles, fragrance-packed fried rice, tender chili oil-coated dumplings, and vibrant wok-tossed greens delivered a thrilling combination of numbing Sichuan peppercorns, rich sesame paste, and bold chili oils.
16. PST (PST - Pizza Studio Tamaki)

Bringing world-class Japanese pizza craft to Singapore, PST takes pizza-making to an art form. I missed out on having PST in Japan, so I was so glad they had a branch here. Their signature Tamaki Pizza (which was vegetarian) featured a light, airy, subtly salted crust with an exquisite leopard-spotted char, topped with juicy cherry tomatos popping up between the gooey cheese, which you had to squeeze with a fork on the pizza before eating the slice. It was a truly unique experience.
17. TCC (The Connoisseur Concerto)

TCC offers an elegant café experience with a menu that thoughtfully caters to vegetarians. The Hokkaido corn cakes were delightfully sweet and savory and melted in your mouth with a crisp exterior, while the mushroom vol-au-vents featured flaky, buttery puff pastry filled with a rich, creamy wild mushroom ragout.
18. Shio & Sato

Capitalizing on one of the trendiest bakery items in Asia, Shio & Sato’s scallion cream cheese shio pan (salted butter roll) was an absolute showstopper. The combination of a buttery, salty crust, a fluffy interior, and a rich, indulgent scallion cream cheese filling made every single bite pure bliss.
Singapore was as memorable as it always is. Even as a vegetarian, I was spoilt for choice, and I can't wait to go back there to try more of the amazing vegetarian food this city has to offer. Thank you for Reading!
